Click Swapping

Posted In Progress | No comments

Last blog post was about a JV Giveaway event I participated in.

I didn’t quite reach the target of 200 clicks but I got pretty close. My current list size is only 400, so getting a total of almost 50% click through for the various broadcast emails I did is Awesome.

This week I’ve book more solo ads and have joined safe-swaps to get in the click swapping game.

Safe-swaps is a great site that makes buying solo ads, selling solo ads, and swapping clicks really easy. It even has a ratings system so you can be assured of the reputation of who you’re doing business with.

I’m mainly using the site for swaps, because it makes the whole process fast and simple. Sure, I could just find swap partners in the Facebook and Skype groups I frequent. But it will take longer and I have to check up on their reputation myself.

That’s all for now. Another update coming soon!

JV Giveaway Events

Posted In Events, Progress | No comments

The past few weeks I’ve been slowly building my list by buying solo ads, usually 50 – 200 clicks.

This week I’m taking part in a JV Giveaway event.

It’s a really good idea and is a win-win-win scenario.

  • My subscribers get some new, free internet marketing products or services.
  • My JV giveaway event partners get some more leads for their lists.
  • I get more leads on my list.

Basically all you need to do to take part is have a product or service to give away. This could be an e-book, training video, or even a free consultation (that’s what someone is providing).

You then add your gift to the JV Giveaway event site. When anyone views the gift site (the JV participants are driving traffic to it), they see your gift and simply optin to your landing page to download it.

If you’re interested in running these JV giveaway events yourself, this is a popular WordPress plugin to use JVGiveawayPlugin.

I recommend you take part in some events first though, to get the hang of how they work.

Testing My Marketing Funnel

Posted In Progress | No comments

Testing the Water

Started building my list this week. I bought two 100 click solo ads, of which one has completed and the other is half way through.

I’m split testing two optin pages, with the headline the only difference, and conversion rate is 49.18% - I’m pretty happy with that, but I will continue split testing (of course) to increase the conversion rate.

Graphs and Stats

I love seeing graphs and real-world statistics (well I am a computer science guy)

This is taken from my Linktrackr account. The dashboard has about 10 different graphs on it, making it great for analytics enthusiasts.  I can see that the longer I use this tool the more valuable the information it has captured will become.

Next Step

The next step is to run solo ads more frequently. Once my list is about 1000 subscribers I can start click swapping and selling small solo ads.

I will also be trying a completely new traffic source that will work great.

Stay tuned for details!

Building The Solo Ads Funnel

Posted In Progress | No comments

About a week has passed since my last post. click tracking

I’ve been doing a lot of research into how a solo ads business actually works. This has included topics like:

  • click tracking and management (Quality Click Control and Linktrackr Ad Trackz Gold)
  • split testing (Google Experiments – I changed to Ad Trackz Gold)
  • click banking (um … hard to explain but kind-of like an ad swap)
  • exit popups (I use the OptimizePress features)

Right now it seems a little complicated, but I’ve no doubt that once I’m actually in action mode it will be easy.

My solo ads website and give-away funnel is 98% done (and looking awesome!) so I’ll now be looking at building my list, providing good value to my subscribers, and selling solo ads.

I aim to over deliver to those buying solo ads through me, for three main reasons:

  1. give them awesome results
  2. develop a relationship and build a regular customer base
  3. get some great written and video testimonials

Until next time …..

Introduction and Starting Over

Posted In Progress | No comments

Let me introduce myself … My name is David and I’ve used computers and software most of my life. However, it’s only the past couple of years I’ve worked towards making money online and with computers, software and internet marketing.

To help build my online businesses, I’ve purchased a number of internet marketing courses such as Solo Ad Secrets and 10,000 Leads In 100 Days and I’ve always found solo ads to be one of the most profitable traffic courses. Solo ads are also the easiest traffic and lead generation source to get started with – I like easy.

While searching for new solo ad sellers I came across someone who was blogging about building their own solo ad business. I had never considered selling solo ads to others before, so it sparked my interest.

I can’t remember who’s blog I initially found, but they were implementing a course called Solo Ads Supremacy by a guy called Lewis Turner. I watched the sales video and bought the course (it was so cheap), and Lewis knew the solo ads topic well.

So now I’m doing it myself.

I’m building an entirely new list for my solo ads business, and I plan to do it really fast and keep it high quality. I have become pretty good at email marketing over the past few years and I’m looking forward to this opportunity of implementing my skills.

This blog will contain details of my progress, and a place for people to buy solo ads from me.

What Is A Solo Ad

I suppose now is a good time to explain what a solo ad is.

A“Solo Ad” is when you pay someone to email THEIR email list, on your behalf, with a recommendation and link to your optin offer squeeze page. Some of the people on that email list will optin (add their email address) on the page and you will build your own email list and probably make some sales in whatever it is you are promoting.

That’s enough for now.. I have some work to do setting up my optin page!
